Human Rights Council (Day 8)
To continue the discussion on items III, “Promotion and protection of all human rights, civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, including the right to development” and IV, “Human rights situations requiring the attention of the Council”. Report of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples on efforts to implement the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: Recognition, Compensation and Reconciliation.
Item 5: “Human rights bodies and mechanisms” Discussion of the report of the Secretary-General on cooperation with the United Nations and its representatives and mechanisms in the field of human rights. The report contains a compilation and analysis of all available information on reprisals allegedly committed against those seeking Cooperate with the United Nations, its representatives and mechanisms or with whom it has already cooperated, make recommendations on how to address issues of intimidation and reprisals, and discuss the annual report of the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee.
Intervention by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cameroon and the Minister of Indigenous Australians.
15:00 – 18:00 The Council organizes a seminar on the rights of indigenous peoples entitled “Promotion and preservation of indigenous languages” (with the necessary facilities for persons with disabilities)
Side events (diplomatic missions) There will be 13 side events, most of which are devoted to the discussion of draft resolutions, including the draft resolution on Sudan, Yemen, and Syria.
NGOs will hold 16 side events, including two on the human rights situation in Egypt, organized by the Arab Organization for Penal Reform and the Cairo Center for Human Rights Studies.

The morning session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child is closed, the evening session discusses the periodic report of the State of Korea, closed meetings of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
